Executive MBA Programs offer students a challenging, stimulating learning experience that maximizes the return on their investment of time and resources.
There are a variety of teaching formats: classroom sessions covering core and elective courses, online content, capstone projects that integrate classroom materials in a practical way, international study elements, and experiential learning where students actively consult with real companies.
The curriculum typically covers functional areas of business and the foundation, also often known as the core courses, focuses on much of the same areas as in traditional MBA programs – accounting, finance, statistics, management, marketing, and information systems, for example.
Many EMBA Programs also incorporate elective courses that allow students to dig deeper into a specialized area of interest. In some programs, students can take a set of related electives to complete a concentration in an area. Special topic seminars, workshops, and short courses on hot topics are also common elements of the Executive MBA curriculum.
Students often work in teams during the program, strengthening their networking, expanding their perspectives on business, and improving their problem solving.
