With the help of his Executive MBA student team and soon-to-be business partner, Charlie Robbins turned a business plan that the team first developed into a thriving business.

Robbins had served as president of his family’s business, but when the family sold the business, he was at a unique point in his career. He entered the Executive MBA Program with an open mind.

He interviewed with several companies, but the lure of another entrepreneurial possibility attracted his attention. He began discussions with a venture capitalist for a service company with headquarters in one of Utah’s most beautiful resort communities.

To further develop the business potential, Robbins enlisted the talents of Team Orange, his Executive MBA student group. They agreed to expand the idea of a Park City property management business into a business plan for the team’s final project.

At the end of the program, Robbins decided to turn the plan into action. His fellow students proved invaluable assets. “I couldn’t have done it without them,” says Robbins, CEO of Sea-to-Ski, premier home management.

Robbins stays connected to his Team Orange colleagues, who take an interest in what’s new with the business. “It’s like our baby,” he says. “We all share a bit of pride in seeing it blossom.”
